The 1602 Sagrada Biblia, also known as the Pitcher Bible or the Reina-Valera Bible, was the first revision of the 1569 Bear Bible edited by Cipriano de Valera beginning in 1582. This revision was published in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and was used for multiple centuries as the most accurate Spanish translation to date. It became known as the Pitcher Bible due to its artwork on the title page that depicted a man planting a tree while another man waters it with a pitcher.
