HISTORY
The Metropolitan Tabernacle in London is one of the most historically significant churches in Christian history. Established in 1650, the Tabernacle became renowned worldwide under the ministry of Charles Haddon Spurgeon, who served as its pastor for nearly four decades. Spurgeon’s powerful sermons and unwavering commitment to the gospel drew thousands, making the Tabernacle a center of spiritual awakening and influence during the 19th century.
Cast from the original proof plates used by Sunshine Minting to produce a commemorative coin in 1992 honoring C.H. Spurgeon on the 100th anniversary of his death, these Biblical Heritage Exhibit exclusive presentation pieces are available in your choice of either marble stone resin hand-finished with an antique bronze patina, or bonded white marble. Both finishes include a notched back for hanging.
The center beautifully captures the essence of the Metropolitan Tabernacle with a detailed depiction of its iconic front facade. Below the image, the verse Isaiah 45:22, "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth," is inscribed, reflecting the evangelical mission that defined the Tabernacle's history.
Whether displayed in a collection of religious memorabilia, or cherished as a standalone item, this unique piece of dimensional art is a powerful reminder of the church's impact on countless lives.
