Martin Luther - Small Sculpture

We are pleased to offer this small sculpture of Martin Luther, made of marble stone resin and hand-finished with a bronze patina.

The Reformation was at hand, the Roman church refused to remove its iron hand of control over the Scriptures, and the powerful struggles for sovereignty between church/Pope and state/kings and the reformers, who gave total obedience unto the sovereignty of Christ, led to the new translations appearing in several languages besides the now modern English. Marin Luther’s German and his challenge to the church, his 95 Theses in 1517, would be a rally cry for Sola Scriptura and the desire for true text translations in the language of the people. Aided by Philip (Philipp) Melanchthon and others, the German Bible would be a significant force in the Reformation of Europe.

Product Dimensions: 5.875" wide x 4" deep x 6" high

Product Weight: 3.6 lb.

Because each sculpture is hand-finished rather than mass-produced, there will naturally be some color variation and no two will be exactly alike. This is part of the nature and beauty of handmade objects, and should not be considered a flaw or defect. If you are attempting to match your previous sculpture purchases or have a particular look in mind (more or fewer highlights, for example), please contact us and we will be happy to provide photos of our current inventory so you can select the exact sculpture that will be shipped to you.
