The 1762 Parris edition of the King James Bible was conducted at Cambridge University, England, by Dr. Thomas Paris. This edition was one of the first revisions of the KJV to utilize standardized spelling, using Samuel Johnson's Dictionary of the English Language as a reference. Additionally, this edition expanded the marginal references and corrected printing errors from the previous edition. The detail that was put into this revision was used to help the Blayney Oxford 1769 KJV edition to become the foundation for the modern King James Bible that we are blessed with today.
