The Blayney Oxford 1769 edition of the King James Bible is the revision that would become the standard for the modern King James Bible that we are blessed with today. This revision was conducted by Benjamin Blayney at Oxford University, England. Blayney utilized the Parris Cambridge 1762 edition, the 1611 KJV, and the 1550 Stephanus edition of the Textus Receptus heavily to form a standardized spelling structure. The major changes that were made to the Blayney Oxford 1769 edition was a standardization of the widely varied punctuation and spelling usage in each edition, which made thousands of minor changes to the text. These alterations to spelling and punctuation created close to 24,000 differences between itself and the 1611 King James Bible.
