With incredible attention to detail from his fur lined cap and coat to his iconic beard, this table-top or bookshelf size sculpture captures the likeness of Johann Gutenberg
In the days between Wycliffe’s single handwritten Scripture (taking as much as six months to complete) and the introduction of William Tyndale’s printed New Testament was the invention of the movable-mechanical type printing press of Johann Gutenberg in 1445. This would revolutionize the way in which the Word of God could go into all the world. The text of Gutenberg’s first book printed was the Latin Vulgate of Saint Jerome some 1,000 years after Jerome had completed his work.
Product Dimensions: 7" wide x 7.25" deep x 12" high
Product Weight: 16.2 lb.
Because each sculpture is hand-finished rather than mass-produced, there will naturally be some color variation and no two will be exactly alike. This is part of the nature and beauty of handmade objects, and should not be considered a flaw or defect. If you are attempting to match your previous sculpture purchases or have a particular look in mind (more or fewer highlights, for example), please contact us and we will be happy to provide photos of our current inventory so you can select the exact sculpture that will be shipped to you.
