This bust, made of marble stone resin and hand-finished with a bronze patina, depicts well-known Bible translator William Tyndale.
William Tyndale, master teacher and scholar, was most familiar with the texts of Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Syriac, and others. With the advent of Erasmus 1516; 19, 22 editions of the Latin/Greek parallel and Greek text New Testaments, William Tyndale was ready to not only develop the English equivalent in many cases, but also to enhance the meaning with new improvements in precise wording, sentence structure, accent and reference development. The 1526 English New Testament would be the first of seven English received text translations, concluding with the most elegant and accurate of all, the Authorized King James Version of 1611.

Because each sculpture is hand-finished rather than mass-produced, there will naturally be some color variation and no two will be exactly alike. This is part of the nature and beauty of handmade objects, and should not be considered a flaw or defect. If you are attempting to match your previous sculpture purchases or have a particular look in mind (more or fewer highlights, for example), please contact us and we will be happy to provide photos of our current inventory so you can select the exact sculpture that will be shipped to you.
